December is a busy month at St. John's - Sunday December 7th, we host the Sacred Music Chorale as they perform Mozart's Grand Mass in C Minor, a Christmas special.
On Advent, December 21st, we will have a special presentation by our Sunday School children - don't miss it - service starts at 10:00AM
Christmas Eve will be celebrated with a candlelight service with music beginning at 7:45PM - Enjoy the sacred space of St.John's and let God fill you with holiday peace that only he is able to give.
On Sunday, December 28th we will continue to celebrate the birth of Christ with lessons and carols.
Bring your family and friends and join us. If you would like to place flowers on the altar for Christmas, please contact the church office.
Founded in Richmond Hill in 1903 to bring the good news of the gospel to our community. The congregation is a member of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Furthering our community outreach, we offer New York Department of Education's Universal Pre-K program for four-year-olds as well as the Saint John's Private School with part-time and full day programs. Specialized tutoring is available for students at affordable rates. AA programs and other associations are found in the church as well.
Our newly renovated banquet hall is available for your special event.
We would love to have you stop by. Come worship with us, share our 110th anniversary see our historic building and join our congregation. We have Sunday School available for your children to attend while you enjoy our Service.
