Founded in Richmond Hill in 1903 to bring the good news of the gospel to our community. The congregation is a member of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Each Sunday the Reverend Robert G. Sonnenberg offers an inspiring gospel centered sermon and the congregation responds with its praises singing the liturgy and hymns. Our organist plays on the church’s original 25 rank pipe organ.

We share our facilities with the other local congregations that desire to  spread the Word of Christ.Furthering our community outreach, we offer New York Department of Education’s Universal Pre-K program for four-year-olds as well as the Saint John’s Private School with part-time and full day programs. Specialized tutoring is available for students at affordable rates. AA programs and other associations are found in the church as well.

Our newly renovated banquet hall is available for your special event.
